You may find that sentiments can be a nice way to congratulate someone on their new journey in life. Sending wishes is a nice way to tell them you are very happy for them and you hope they will enjoy this time in their life.

 
 

But you may be wondering what to say to them. If you have not retired yet yourself, not knowing truly what they are going to be encountering may be even more difficult. We have compiled a list of examples for your convenience.

You have definitely earned this retirement, so enjoy every moment!

This is the time when you start learning how to live and stop thinking about schedules, appointments and deadlines!

Its is now time to stop fussing, stressing and working! It is time for relaxing, napping and traveling! Enjoy retirement!

You have all the time in the world now! So use it wisely and don’t let any of it be wasted! Every moment will be your retirement

Hopefully you’ll find retirement as one long coffee break! Enjoy and take it easy!

You may find once your living as a retiree for some time that retiring was the start of your life!

The greatest thing about retirement is, if you get bored with doing nothing, you can start doing something, anything, anytime, anyplace without anyone saying anything!

Writing your own wish or sentiment isn’t hard. Just think about what you hope retiring will be like for the person. Think about something they enjoy or always wished they had time for or more time to do. Then write something about it. For example, if my friend loved golf but didn’t have enough time to do it I would say something like this:

You finally have all the time in the world to play golf, so play golf, think golf, dream golf and enjoy golf! Congrats on your retirement, and I hope you play golf every day and every waking hour of it!

Of course you can go simpler by just telling them:

We are so happy for you and hope you spend your retirement doing nothing but things you enjoy at your favourite time of the day while enjoying wonderful thoughts of your new life.
